WHAT I THINK

   Social media is important for society now. Today’s social media has become an efficient tool to share and express feeling for current generation.

   It’s a good that we can get information faster, but it also comes with the dark side. Everyone now is sharing whatever that come , without filter, then suddenly fake news spread everywhere. The fake news normally come from social media like Facebook, young generation accept all information they receive without find out the truth. The social networks play a major role in how fast fake news spreads. At this point, generation X is more comfortable to receive the news from old media, such as radio, newspaper and tv compare to generation Y.  Generation X think that old media can be trusted and still they can get the information as much as they want. Although generation X do not have a problem adjusting all the social media sites, but they do not have to use it. They are less interest to involve in learning new technology campared with generation Y. When comes to generation Y, they think the social media is the great ways to foster collaboration and get information as fast as they want. They connected through digital devices and engaged through social media. Social media networks are all about efficiency and speed. Young generation now has no much patience compare to the older generation because they born in the generation with high technology in internet, they can get information they want without waiting, all they need is just one click. They have a short attention span and tend to skim-read rather than read properly.

   

   As conclusion, there is right or wrong between generations, it’s all about what they need and what can they contribute to the world. Every generation has their own way to make the world better.
